Lead Java Programmer
We are seeking a highly-experienced Lead Java Programmer for
a large-scale multimedia front end and data visualization
product. This product combines Java objects with advanced
interactive multimedia software and relational database systems
using our proprietary PowerView software. The software has
already been successfully used to create an Intranet to support
the work of top executives at a major Hollywood movie studio,
and we're now expanding its capabilities for the Air Force
and other clients.
The Lead Object Programmer is responsible
for leading the development of our proprietary PowerView code,
including visualization and data connection objects, using
Java and other tools as appropriate. Many of these objects
may be implemented in the future as plug-ins for Web browsers.
This person also will help specify and design such objects
and the overall architecture of our system, and will supervise
programmers responsible for implementing some of the code.
To qualify for this position you must
be a highly-experienced object-oriented programmer with proven
ability to deliver complex solutions in Java (experience with
C++ and other object-oriented languages is a plus as well).
Familiarity with cross-platform implementation issues (Win,
Mac and UNIX) is a must, as is experience with relational
databases and JDBC. Experience with Internet-related coding,
including HTML, Javascript, CGIs, PERL and Active X, as well
as the creation of inline plug-ins for browsers, is also required.
You must have at least five years of experience creating and
delivering successful code solutions, and possess the highest
programming and communications skills. You should have a strong
aesthetic and interactive design sense, and be conversant
in current high-end information visualization solutions and
methodologies.

This full-time position is available immediately and is based
at our San Francisco office. The compensation package will
include equity participation.
This position requires, at a minimum, DSS
Secret clearance; we can sponsor U.S. citizens for clearance,
but those with active clearances are particularly encouraged

the United States.
